Roger Stone arrested---another trumpy goes down

    From this morning's WSJ:

WASHINGTON—A longtime political adviser to President Trump, Roger Stone, was arrested in Florida early Friday on charges of lying to Congress about his contacts with the website WikiLeaks during the 2016 campaign, in the latest indictment from special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.

In an indictment returned in Washington on Thursday, Mr. Stone was also charged with obstructing an official proceeding and trying to persuade a witness to lie to investigators.

Mr. Stone was arrested in Fort Lauderdale, and will make an initial appearance in federal court there on Friday, the special counsel’s office said.

Friday’s indictment depicts the strongest ties known to date between the Trump campaign and an organization that U.S. intelligence agencies have concluded was publishing emails stolen by Russian hackers.
The above is only the beginning of the article---which goes into great detail to the point that that one might think Bannon could be the next lackey to take the fall.

Never ever seen so many "close to" any President get arrested. Sure it's the old lying to Congress thing again.

Does bode well for the guy in the White House, but then Rudy hasn't tossed in his spin cycle yet.

If you read much about Stone, you will run into this guy---Jerome Corsi another fine upstanding citizen of the political underworld of trump.

Just for giggles, there have been more Russians indited in this investigation than Americans.

Another Mueller “Show Indictment” signifying absolutely nothing other than he and his merry band of Hillary supporters is grasping at straws. O.K., Mueller ferreted out that Roger Stone was full of ballyhoo & BS and lied about his sources. Big F’ing Deal. The guy has a tattoo of Dick Nixon on his back. You think he is important. Everything he did here was after WikiLeaks dropped the perloined emails on the public, and that someone in the Trump Campaign was allegedly then sent to try to find out if Stone had contacts to tell what would drop next is proof that the Trumpsters did not have a part in the email drop or they would already know what there was. Mueller’s indictments obviate a Trump/Russia conspiracy.

The bad part is that Trump consulted at all with this goof.

You should expect nothing less. These goofs mirror trump's character, they are most comfy with one and other.

I posit that one of the goals and desires of the anti-Trump crowd, which most definitely includes Mueller, his team and many in the DOJ/FBI/Intel cartel, is to attack and financially break anyone who has the temerity to align with Trump, or even worse, join or think about joining his administration. Who would want to join the administration, when it has been proven over & over that people in powerful positions of prosecution are willing to lie, cheat & steal to set the forces of government on your every activity from birth to death. That explains in large part why the level of appointments inside the administration is so poor and is a result of lefty plans. They have taken the adage, “Who among is without sin” into a new level of attack and destroy.

The charges against Trump figures are laughably insignificant (except Manifort, who is and was a scumbag, but had nothing to do with Trump/Russia collusion) and designed merely to break them, which as a former prosecutor myself, is easily done with the powers of the state. Who wants to challenge that? I have said before here that give me the powers of the state and I can break and probably convict anyone anywhere, and that is what we are witnessing here.

Most of the indictments are for trap lying....Like WJ said if they want to get you they can and they will. No one can possibly stand up to the ridiculous power of a special prosecutor. Hell if you turned loose a special prosecutor on Congress at least half of them would be in prison.

Is anyone is really interested in the true trivial nature of the charges against Stone, which resulted in 17 truck loads of battle-geared FBI agents sent to his house with a conveniently alerted CNN camera crew in attendance, then you can read what we know about it below —

This is another absurd and nauseating abuse of power by Mueller.
