Most of what I've bought in my lifetime has been used, I haven't bought a new one since 2003...But apparently someone can afford new ones because they keep selling......Ben

My last new truck was a Ford 350 manual SRW crew cab long bed loaded. Loaded didn't mean a lot on trucks back then though. MSRP was $38,000. I ordered it and got it for $32,000. was waiting on it when it came off the truck. Now a days you can't even buy a F-150 for that, not if you want wheels. I'd have to have a bunch of money before I thought about spending $80,000. on a truck.

In a former life I had a B model Mack tractor "twin stick". It had a main transmission with 5 speeds and an auxiliary with 2 speeds and reverse. To get decent performance, there were splits that required both transmissions had to be shifted simultaneously. Depending on road conditions that required you to put your left arm through the spokes of the steering wheel and then grab one of the two sticks.

If interested, go to YouTube and "Twin stick Pappy".

That truck also had an air starter on it. I quickly learned to be aware of any unsuspecting people in the area---while the reaction was funny it could also be dangerous.

Often, I wanted to drive into and do some bidniss in Shooter’s Station when Herr Ben owned the joint, but parked outside was this huge jacked-up black behemoth truck, and I was frightened off...frightened off, I tell you.
