I forget most of it pretty quick but the works that this guy and other Muslims created as far back as the twelfth century and before is amazing. Now it's as if a whole race of people have been erased. I'm sure there are still many but they mostly live here.

religious fanatics can only remain in power if they keep the populace ignorant. Eliminate/ attack the educated and the educational institutions and you are left with a highly manipulable population. It happens all over the world all the time with varying degrees of success with religious and / or political parties
