Barack Obama sold out to the Iranians in fact they had to change the type of aircraft three times to be able to accommodate the weight of the American currency that he landed over there and gave them. Now all you fact-checkers and all you post linkers and all you Obama apologist have a good night because he did what he did and that's a fact

The following Bloomberg article says analysis shows Chinese concerns pick up nearly all the tariffs imposed upon Chinese goods —

...President Donald Trump is succeeding in making China pay most of the cost of his trade war.

That’s the conclusion of a new paper from EconPol Europe, a network of researchers in the European Union. U.S. companies and consumers will only pay 4.5 percent more after the nation imposed 25 percent tariffs on $250 billion of Chinese goods, and the other 20.5 percent toll will fall on Chinese producers, according to authors Benedikt Zoller-Rydzek and Gabriel Felbermayr.

...The Trump administration selected products with the highest “price elasticity,” or high availability of substitutes, according to Zoller-Rydzek and Felbermayr. The Chinese products hit by Trump’s tariffs can mostly be replaced by other goods, forcing exporters to cut selling prices to keep buyers.

“Through its strategic choice of Chinese products, the U.S. government was not only able to minimize the negative effects on U.S. consumers and firms, but also to create substantial net welfare gains in the U.S.,” the researchers wrote...

...With the economic costs shifted to China, the U.S. levies will lead to a $18.4 billion net gain for the American government, the researchers wrote. (damned near enough to pay for a wall in a couple of years, ‘eh? I’d rather China “pay for the wall” than the Mexicans any day!)

The next round may have a different result, but so far things are in our favor it would seem. In any case, it is difficult to continue the old position of sitting by while the Red Chinese steal us blind and not play the cards fate gives us as China’s biggest customer.

What is everyone of the pundits and bobbleheads thinking, we being the customers who are buying their products should be listened to. Is it not the mantra of American businesses that the customer is always right? If America decides that we are being gored, you would think they would back off and try to calm us down. That is not the way that our politicians have been treating them up until now. American politicians have been allowing them to steal our business ideas and plans in order to make a few bucks there? Notice they do not sell their cars here, nor do those built by the Russians, American cars and ingenuity are much better. China is acting arrogant and are appalled that we have not bowed down to them and have actually "gave them the back of our hand." They are the ones who are trembling with fear in the back rooms away from public view. In their culture they refuse to be humiliated, even though it may be their demise. Their economy is not near as rosy as they paint it, since their govt controls the media, the people only hear their side. Dang if that doesn't sound familiar.

As much as I've hated the idea of being an isolationist state I think its time we moved a little closer to that idea until we or the world gets their **** together.

No one is talking “isolationist state” here that I know about. Just the opposite.
