Update
…and it is all good 😊
They did the skin graft on Monday. They took the skin off my left thigh. I had a vacuum pump hooked up to the wound on my right leg which pulled the drainage out of the area. As of this morning that is now removed and I have a conventional dressing on the wound site. The donor site is still draining but does not have a pump hooked up. Both are healing as expected.
Because of a “non-specific abnormality” in a routine EKG I had a stress test yesterday---totally unexpected----and I passed that with flying colors----I got a clean bill of health on my heart 😊
So-----while I don’t have a time table for the remainder of this journey it is going in the right direction and I am optimistic about my healing and return to normal.
