I have always wondered and I still do why on God's earth would a fire fighter go inside an unoccupied dwelling. It makes no sense. Just sit outside and put it out or better yet just control the burn down from the outside. I saw this happen near me one day. It was an old scrap heap of a house totally vacant and well involved. The FD pulled up laid the lines and ran inside. CRAZY.

Here in SA we had a fine fireman with young children die in a fire in a bowling alley this year that the owner of the place torched for the insurance. Dreadful.

Hopefully, the alley owner got charged with at least manslaughter?

Murder, but he apologized, as if that means something. No record I could find of final verdict.
I looked it, and I got a couple of things wrong — it was a gym and he wanted to get out of his lease.

Same difference, I'm with you dreadful. And to top it off before he confessed he had started one of those fund me? pages to fix his gym. Knowing he killed a man and was still thinking of himself.
