    Wonderful news

We have a tremendous extended family who are very close and we all support each other---and this is multi-generational.

I have talked in the past about my oldest God Daughter who I commonly refer to as my almost daughter. Her two sisters are also almost daughters.

Anyway, after a career in the AF as a B-52 pilot they seemed settled in Kansas, while I silently prayed that they would come back here before I die.

That is exactly what happened. When their two children were through college they bought a small farm and came back "home"!

My daughter is a nurse practitioner and works at Children's Hospital in Philadelphia and my almost son-in-law went to work for Delta flying regional jets out of Philadelphia.

A couple of months ago he moved to United and started training in Denver a couple of weeks ago. We were disappointed that his initial assignment when his training ends was SF flying the Airbus 320.

Tonight I got a call----he has been moved up to the Boeing 757 class and based in Newark

It does not get better than that

The a 320 is a much more comfortable cockpit but the 757 will allow you more down time.

In general, he has told me that HE prefers the Airbus cockpit to the Boeing---he likes the stick control---but then he will follow up with either are ages ahead of the B-52 that he flew for 20+ years!

The bigger difference between these two is that while the A320 is ETOPS certified United does not use it for flights outside of NA. The 757 and up platforms are used for trans-ocean flights.
