Had a man flag me down last week looking for the location of a new 48" pipeline that was going to be put in. He worked for another pipeline company and he needed to mark their existing lines so the new one would not be cutting into theirs. I could not help him but we talked for a bit, this new line was supposed to be 800+ miles long, so I assume it was one of those mentioned in the article Dave posted. The man also stated that a 30" was also supposed to be installed as well, but he did not know where as of yet. He said he would sure like to be the pipe salesman for either one of those adventures.

Are those neo-Luddist mullets that moved from trying to stop the pipeline in North Dakota to the Permian still out there, or did they give up and squat in their own filth somewhere else? I would not mind seeing video of those idiots chaining themselves once again to a valve as winter comes on though.

    Here’s Dave’s accessible URL, btw —

No protesters in the Permian that I have ever seen, and I have a lot of territory that I cover. Protesters out here would have their butts kicked and would be sent packing.

I base out of Midland during the week and it is a long way down to Alpine as well as Balmorhea. They will not be happy in the summer as temps will stay above 100 and it is cold as hell in the winter as well, wind is constantly blowing and the dust is horrible. The protesters talk a good game but the fire ants, scorpions and rattlesnakes may change their minds and they may leave this one alone. Everything in that part of the country, stings, bites or kicks.
