    For friends in the Southwest

Being the weather weenie that I am I see that the remnants of a hurricane may come right to the Southwest at some point. I do really want to hear from any folks out there if this is going to have any impact at all

Bring it Rosa... we need the rain.

I pumped my pool down today because it floods with 1/2" of rain... 1-2" expected and I hope we get it.

Skies are darkening and fronts are heading our way.. Being a desert dweller I love to see rain....

I sure wish I could send you some of what we have had. For the year we have had a total of 49.72" of rain. It is forecast to rain 8 out of the next 10 days.

Deluges in arid lands are a danger, but maybe heavy rains will start a recovery in the reservoirs and even Lake Powell.

Yeah the area is under a flash flood warning. If it's a slow steady rain we don't have issues. It's when it dumps am inch in 2 hours during a monsoon that we see the washes start to flow.

Updated prediction is for 3" over the next 2 days.

Lake Powell depends on the snow pack to fill.

Slow rain allows the water to start to soak in which is what we have so far. As for this evening and tomorrow who knows.
