I don't much care what he did almost 40 years ago when he was a minor. No one made an outcry, no charges were filed, he never stood trial and he was never convicted of a crime. As near as I can tell he has lived a clean adult life (at least as clean as anyone is likely to be) and he is qualified for the job. End of story.

38 yrs ago my 14 yr old sister didnt call the police to report my dad tried to rape her. So he's a good man now, I'll let her know.

I'm truly sorry your sister and you had to experience this.
Unfortunately, this is a case of she said, he said, 40 years later. There is no way we will ever know the truth about what may, or may not have happened.
If one person out of a population of 325.7 million says it happened to her, she better have some evidence to back up her allegation. So far, she does not and her actions since making the allegation have been so bizarre I cannot find her credible. This whole thing is a manufactured circus designed to prevent Kavanaugh from being appointed.
[added on edit] Now I see she is back to playing games and wanting her testimony to be done her way, or not at all. BS!!! The committee should just issue a subpoena and get this thing done.

Judge sent a “what-hell-are-you-talking-about” denial statement to the Senate under pain of perjury. Ford named three others who she said were including one of her “good friends,” all of who have issued their own “what-hell-are-you-talking-about” denials. To give this out of the blue one woman act Senate stopping power requiring months of the FBI chasing shadows with zero corroborating evidence to instigate it would be a travesty and a precedent for untold future mischief. You cannot countenance delay on every scurrilous charge in the world.

I didn’t follow this case very closely, but didn’t Cosby admit in a filmed deposition to drugging and having his way with the complaining woman? His defense was it wasn’t rape because she took the drugs.

There is also a video of him saying what he says, proving that this was the future VP at another hearing about the same he said/ she said allegations. This is why the FBI does not get involved in these types of arguments. The bold was added by me.
