...and the legal spider weaves its web larger by the day

    From today's NYT:

The Manhattan district attorney’s office is considering pursuing criminal charges against the Trump Organization and two senior company officials in connection with Michael D. Cohen’s hush money payment to an adult film actress, according to two officials with knowledge of the matter.

A state investigation would center on how the company accounted for its reimbursement to Mr. Cohen for the $130,000 he paid to the actress, Stephanie Clifford, who has said she had an affair with President Trump, the officials said.

Both officials stressed that the office’s review of the matter is in its earliest stages and prosecutors have not yet made a decision on whether to proceed.

State charges against the company or its executives could be significant because Mr. Trump has talked about pardoning some of his current or former aides who have faced federal charges. As president, he has no power to pardon people and corporate entities convicted of state crimes.

Trump's slippery slope gets steeper by the hour. From the WSJ:
Allen Weisselberg, President Trump’s longtime financial gatekeeper, was granted immunity by federal prosecutors for providing information about Michael Cohen in the criminal investigation into hush-money payments for two women during the 2016 presidential campaign, according to people familiar with the matter.

Mr. Weisselberg. who is chief financial officer of the Trump Organization, was called to testify before a federal grand jury in the investigation earlier this year, The Wall Street Journal previously reported, citing people familiar with the investigation.

The decision by prosecutors in the Manhattan U.S. attorney’s office to grant immunity to Mr. Weisselberg escalates the pressure on Mr. Trump, whom Mr. Weisselberg has served for decades as executive vice president as well as CFO for the Trump Organization. After Mr. Trump was elected, he handed control of his financial assets and business interests to his two adult sons and Mr. Weisselberg.

I'm told no one gets immunity deals based just on their proffered story. That the prosecutor already has evidence of what they're willing to share.

That didn't happen in Hillary Clinton's case when they gave immunity out like candy to a baby

Shhhhh Honda, remember we are not allowed to show the lefty's the error of THEIR ways. That woman was guilty if held dead to rights should be in prison for the rest of her life for crimes against the American people. I am still waiting for the first round of bull**** charges, the Russian Collusion, to materialize.

we dont actually know that, they easily could have had collaborating evidence. It doesn't mean that it gives them a strong enough case to prosecute. It just means ppl can't lie in exchange for an immunity deal, like Trump claims

The Feds had the guy who Bleechbitted HerSelf’s computers, while under Congressional subpoena dead-to-rights and her close associates who had secrets out the wazoo in their hard-drives but let them go and agreed to destroy the evidence for them. Hard to get happy on that.

Yes you are correct they did do that. I repeat my comment they gave out immunity like cotton candy at the State Fair. Yet no indictments no arrests no nothing. But now that we know that Clinton operatives we're working at the highest level of the FBI and I don't think anybody here dare dispute that the fix was in. How dare the high and mighty lefties here act like HC was as clean as the driven snow.

They are still at it. They have thrown the book at Manifort for acting as a an unregistered agent of a foreign power (among other things) and did the same thing to one of his associates this week again, but gave immunity to John Podesta’s brother for the same thing on steroids. In-your-face discriminatory administration of justice, and I think we all know why.

Yep, the whole thing is like a bad remake of the keystone cops. Stupidity and corruption at its finest.
