It caught your eye because it went against Trump. Could we drop this insane rhetoric and think straight for just a second. Hurd is over a hugely minority section of Texas that is almost 70% hispanic. If you are relying on his CIA service as a bonus, well Brennon, Clapper, Comey, McCabe, Page, Strzok and who knows how many others have shown that this may not be the status symbol it once was as that record has been severely tarnished.
Has Trump ever needed anybody to tell him what to do? Has he relied on the RNC or any other political candidates to tell him how to win his election? He has gone through many of his staff because he did not want to follow the standard old political games, so why in the hell would he need Putin to win him any kind of favor? It is insane the depths that people will go to, to try and smear the man. He does not fear the media, the competition or other world leaders, so what is so great about Russia all of a sudden?
He has shown his love and affection for the American flag, the military, the law enforcement officers across the nation, not to mention his love for the American people and yet a bunch of people think that he needs Putin or Russia for anything? That is insanity at its finest.
I could see where just about any other politician might need some financial help or maybe looking for a little extra "pull" after their political career is gone, but Trump has none of those aspirations. He has wealth, he is working as POTUS for free. He has notoriety, has had it for decades. He has many different and flies around in his own personal 767 exquisite airplane......what the hell is Russia going to give him that he does not already have? Maybe a few resorts and golf courses on the Black Sea?
People really need to do a huge reality check, this is not the normal politician, he does not need anything, quit trying to treat him like a normal candidate, it makes smart folks look very ignorant.

If he had any balls he introduce a bill to replace the President if he truly believes that Trump a pawn.

Because Hurd is my Congress Critter and we have contributed to his campaign in the past, it matters what I think. I disagree with his assessment, but grant him his opinion and recognize he has far better credentials than I on the subject. I will continue to follow his thinking. I may even contribute again because his overall voting record will be much more to my liking than his opponent, although she has better credentials than the usual Democrat in this district.

I still think it's more of a ploy on Trumps part to give Putin enough rope to hang himself. Trump has shown no such total ignorance else where. Maybe he's wanting to build a self contained city resort on the Black sea.

The GDP of Russia is behind Canada and barely ahead of Korea, why would anybody think snagging them is some sort of a prize? I think all of this Russia nonsense is a fairy tale invented by the Dems to place blame somewhere for their massive screwup in the elections. The only technology and resource they have is nukes and oil, and we already have both, so trying to befriend them is nothing special. All a smoke screen and a deflection for a bunch of sore losers who are acting like little babies, not capable, or worthy of the office of POTUS nor the running of the Country.

I have never read of or heard of a rich man that has enough, quit using that argument (-; Quit using that love thing too there are more than just woman on that list.
