Anything else is pure BS that you are being fed
Was told every year they had to pay a registration fee and something else, you don't pay for plates and registration?

Hey now, I've got it on video being yelled at by the police for the car being to loud & illegal, no sound meter, no testing of any kind.

You also can't say it's not illegal for a employee to give you a straw without you asking & that they are pushing toward all paper straws.....

Just like how Starbucks went to a new straw less lid that uses more plastic to save the planet....or how brown signed a statewide ban on single-use plastic bags, what's next banning single use condoms???

And were not even going to get into the 2nd amendment...and all the illegal and un Constitutional laws Calif has created.....or how the 9th circus has a 80+ overturn rate on what they support....

    .
Horse trailer. It ( ours) has permanent plates, we paid a one time registration fee in addition to sales tax at purchase and that has been it since 2003

Here you pay one time 6% sales tax....and then 6% registration feed yearly....and it's based off of weight, MSRP and something else with a 10% depreciation yearly till it hits 60% and stays at that rate forever or till it's sold...

They say its due to not having a state income tax

Just to be factual for AZ:

"Trailers registrations are determined by whether or not the trailer will be used for commercial purposes, and on the weight of the trailer (both as certified by the owner). A trailer may be eligible for a regular registration (one, two or five year) or a permanent registration.

Permanent registration will be issued for the following:

Noncommercial trailers with a declared gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 10,000 lbs or less (one-time $125 registration fee, reduced to $75 if converting a current commercial trailer registration to noncommercial)
Trailers with a declared GVW of more than 10,000 lbs (one-time $800 registration fee). If previously registered in another state and the model year of the trailer is less than six years old (fee is reduced to $500), if at least six years old (fee is reduced to $195).

Permanent registration is a one-time fee and a PERM license plate tab is issued. There is no annual billing for vehicle license tax or registration fees. If the trailer has a special plate, only the fee for the plate will be billed annually.

The following are not eligible for permanent registration:

    Travel trailer or camper/tent trailer
Commercial trailer with declared GVW of 10,000 pounds or less
Historic trailer that is designed for commercial use, but is not used for commercial purposes"
