    SCOTUS: Kennedy to retire

WASHINGTON (AP) — Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement Wednesday, giving President Donald Trump a golden chance to cement conservative control of the high court.

The 81-year-old Kennedy said in a statement he is stepping down after more than 30 years on the court. A Republican appointee, he has held the key vote on such high-profile issues as abortion, affirmative action, gay rights, guns, campaign finance and voting rights.

Kennedy said he had informed his colleagues and Trump of his plans, and that his retirement will take effect at the end of July.

I was impressed that he actually delivered his letter of resignation to Trump this morning---after informing his colleagues last night.

He will be missed and without question Trump will have a chance to move the court further to the right since Justice Kennedy was more of a moderate.

The keys will be the Rino’s In the Senate and Mueller.
Look for the Democrats to make further fools of themselves than they have already done. First up, demanding no nomination until Trump is cleared by Mueller, then the demonstrations and personal harassments to intensify.

If I were a Republican official, I would charge my lawn sprinkler with a nasty and persistent green dye and wait.

Was listening to Judge Napalatino today and he said that he was told by Scalia before he died, that Kennedy was waiting for a Republican POTUS and he was going to retire. One thing I hope we avoid is another round of Roe V Wade, legislating the abortion fight is not going to stop anything and enrage both sides. Just leave it alone and educate ladies on how abortion is much worse than kids being cared for in detention centers.

Also Schumer already hopped on the train of "lets not put another judge in during an election year". Somebody had to inform that clown that it wasn't changing the POTUS election, it was a mid term. The left is in panic mode and is really regretting not running a better candidate against Trump.

If Trump put Mother Teresa up for the position, she would be portrayed as the incarnation of the devil. Since she is not available, whomever accepts the offer had better be prepared to be harassed, called every name in the book, and have their background checked to the extent that we will know how often they pooped as an infant.
Any and every statement will be parsed to be the worst possible meaning.

I have sympathy for them. However, at no point will those decrying the unsuitability of the nominee be subject to the type of scrutiny they are applying to the "victim "
