    Owner Boots Sarah from Restaurant

Well since this has not been brought up yet I decided to do it. Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her party were asked to leave a Virginia restaurant called the Red Hen by the owner because of "moral decisions'? Didn't a baker have to go all the way to the Supreme Court to have their case heard?

Sarah just quietly left the restaurant after being served appetizers, offering to pay for them before she left. Is this the tolerance the left has been trying to tell us about? Where a person can be kicked out of a restaurant because of who they work for or support? Pretty childish if you ask me and I hope the backlash hits them hard in their pocketbooks, that is the same as refusing to serve someone because of their skin color. Turns out the owner is related to Meryl Streep, or so the story goes....

A co-owner of a restaurant that refused to serve White House press secretary Sarah Sanders on Friday reportedly cited morality and living up to "certain standards,” as the reason why.

Stephanie Wilkinson recalled the moments leading up to the encounter in an interview with the Washington Post, starting with a phone conversation she had with an employee, who revealed that Sanders was dining at the Red Hen in Lexington, Va.

After her chef reportedly told her that “the staff is a little concerned,” Wilkinson left her home and headed for the restaurant.

“I’m not a huge fan of confrontation,” Wilkinson told the Post. “I have a business, and I want the business to thrive.”

“This feels like the moment in our democracy when people have to make uncomfortable actions and decisions to uphold their morals,” she continued. She also reportedly described the actions of Trump’s White House as “inhumane and unethical.”

After arriving, Wilkinson recalled to the Post that Sanders’ party had some appetizers on the table, but had not yet received their entrees. She said she spoke to her employees, asking them how they wanted her to move forward.
“I can ask her to leave,” she suggested to the staff, according to the Post.
    “Yes,” the employees replied.

Wilkinson then told the Post that she approached Sanders, introduced herself, then asked Sanders to “come out to the patio” to talk.

“I was babbling a little, but I got my point across in a polite and direct fashion,” Wilkinson told the Post. “I explained that the restaurant has certain standards that I feel it has to uphold, such as honesty, and compassion, and cooperation,” before saying, “I’d like to ask you to leave.”

She reportedly said the press secretary replied simply by saying “That’s fine. I’ll go,” before she and her entire party left the restaurant.

Wilkinson told the Post that the Sanders group had “offered to pay,” but Wilkinson declined, telling them that there was no charge for their order.

Following the exchange, TMZ reported that Sanders was kicked out of the restaurant on “moral grounds” and cited a waiter who said that Sanders was served “for a total of two minutes before my owner kicked her out along with seven of her other family members.”

Sanders confirmed the events on Twitter, saying she was told to leave by the owner because she worked for the president.

“Her actions say far more about her than about me,” she tweeted. “I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so.”

Looking back, Wilkinson told the Post, she "would have done the same thing again."

Meanwhile, an unaffiliated restaurant in Washington, also called the Red Hen, was working to convince customers that it was not involved in the Sanders dispute, which took place in Virginia.

It seems like it has infuriated Conservatives who have condemned the actions by posting negative reviews on Yelp, Facebook and other social media sites. Good for them, it shows that being a jerk may make you a hero to the left, but repercussions far outweigh the accolades the whiny left may give you.

Hey the owner made a decision not to serve her. Asking if it's right after the way the SC failed make any real ruling, who cares?

Someone should ask these restaurant personnel if they think a baker should have the option to refuse service to people based upon their moral standards and hear what they say in response. I’ll wager we will would have a huge example of reeking hypocrisy.

I deleted my response. I hope something comes of this but nothing will, like Fred said who cares. And we can't ask why one incident is wrong and one is right. The straight out hate and ignorance from the left has become dangerous. The right isn't far behind but I think it's because of that horrible thing called religion, it does teach morals and such. Once it's finally squashed we'll be catching up.

Only thing to add is that Sarah used a government item to tweet it. That's a violation of it's use.

Sarah’s tweet was in response to an initiating gloating tweet from a member of the staff of the dive. All bets are off at that point, Fred.

But Sarah sent a tweet, OMG Just like the original topic we can't even ask why one Tweet is wrong but years of illegal servers and deleting e-mails etc... is ok it doesn't count. Forget the topic with the group we have in Washington I'm sure it's been covered. Why is it that even when the republicans have control the left still walks all over what's left of the constitution? Must be some collusion there somewhere.

but using your official account for this is a clear violation of 5 CFR 2635.702(a).
What you can and can do under 5 CFR 2635.702: which prohibits government employees from using their position for personal gain or for endorsing a product or business. He said the corollary — using a government position to punish an operation by “discouraging patronage”— is also illegal.

Even that is questionable, but responding to a scurrilous attack once made is unquestionably ethically copacetic. Note that Sarah said nothing until the restaurant publicly opened the subject. Sarah’s defense with the truth is golden. She did not even go to the length to mention that the enflamed owner who had made a fool of herself in her own joint went across the street where Sarah’s party had retired and made an uninvited and intrusive scene in that restaurant. There is only one side of this petty affair that showed class.

Your lefty rags forgot to mention “the rest of the story,” didn’t they, Fred?

I don't really care one way, or the other. But, let me ask this: Would those of you who are outraged about her being thrown out, how many of you (if you had a restaurant) would serve Hillary Clinton? Not me and I don't see a difference.
