Nubulae are vast areas of gasses and dust in space and the images are obtained by our telescopes (often combinations of images from several different kinds of telescopes) reduced to colors so we can see them in visible light to our human eyes.

Our galaxy, the milky way, is 600 trillion miles in diameter. And that is actually on the small side as galaxies go . Estimates range from one through four billion stars. Why do I think we have yet to discover just a couple more things we now know nothing about.

Unfathomable! The universe is getting bigger by the minute, I guess the centrifugal force? What happens, is time and space infinite, will new worlds be created just to vanish in four light years or what ever. Looking at the pics makes me feel so minimal. We are part of the Virgo super cluster which has 54 ? galaxies contained in it, how does one wrap their mine around that
