    Just one more in a long line

    From this morning's WSJ:
    The New York state attorney general’s office on Thursday sued the Donald J. Trump Foundation and its directors, accusing the charity of unlawfully coordinating with Mr. Trump’s presidential campaign.

    The lawsuit also accuses Mr. Trump of using the foundation’s charitable assets to pay his legal bills and promote Trump businesses. The attorney general’s office seeks to dissolve the foundation and asks for $2.8 million in restitution.

    It also asks that board members Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump be banned from serving on the board of any charity in New York.

    “As our investigation reveals, the Trump Foundation was little more than a checkbook for payments from Mr. Trump or his businesses to nonprofits, regardless of their purpose or legality,” state Attorney General Barbara Underwood said in a statement. “This is not how private foundations should function and my office intends to hold the Foundation and its directors accountable for its misuse of charitable assets.”

    We will see. Who would be surprised if Trump was into self-dealing with regard to his charity.
    The Attorney General Office of New York has a very pathetic history itself of self-dealing in recent decades. Don’t know much about this latest one after replacing her disgraced predecessor.

    Don Jr. made the assertion tonight on the Tucker Carlson show when asked about the NYAG’s lawsuit that the Trump Foundation had a 0% expense to benefit ratio and Trump and the members of the board were not paid, got no travel expenses plus 50% of the funds came from Donald Trump himself. Then he asserted in contrast that the rival Clinton Foundation had a 90% expense to benefit ratio, was awash in foreign donations and travel expenses were enormous exploring possible bequests which never seemed to materialized. He also pointed out the timing of the announcement was coordinated to attempt to blunt the DOJ IG report announcement.

    As I said, “We’ll see.”

    Same crap, different day. The only reason why it even makes the news is because it has the Trump name on it and we all know how they love to bash that name.


    I also saw where the charity gave out more than it took in, so if there are no operating expenses then that means somebody in the organization had to pony up. Does the left really not see how petty and dumb they look when they do stuff like this? They should realize that trying to protect Hilliary and her failed attempt at winning is going to come back and bite them? Funny how this makes headlines the day before the IG report that condemns Comey and a few of his FBI folks, as well as the acting AG. Then of course is the admission that the Clinton server was actually hacked and there was secret emails that were taken. It also let on that the POTUS at the time knew all of this, as well as about the illegal server.



    Does anybody but myself think this is just another feeble attempt by the left to divert attention from their failed attacks on Trump and his family? Second rate story to begin with from a pathetic excuse for an State AG who is just looking to make a name for herself.

    You will note Trump is still there making policy and implementing a lot of it. The hits aren’t hurting, and the oddest thing is that I’ll bet you even agree with the majority of what he is accomplishing. In fact, I think I remember you writing something like that.

    Well after spending millions of dollars and supposedly some of the brightest legal expertise in the country they haven't turned anything up on him yet. But I'm hopeful you'll be happy one day.
