    "The Agreement"

Kudos to Mr Trump--we have another fresh start with the North Koreans.

Without question, it has come to pass with the most drama and "showmanship" of any previous agreements--of which there have been many.

With very little substance it reads as follows:

Convinced that the establishment of new US-DPRK relations will contribute to the peace and prosperity of the Korean peninsula and of the world, and recognizing that mutual confidence building can promote the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un state the following:

The United States and the DPRK commit to establish new US-DPRK relations in accordance with the desire of the peoples of the two countries for peace and prosperity
The United States and the DPRK will join their efforts to build a lasting and stable peace regime on the Korean Peninsula
Reaffirming the April 27, 2018 Panmunjom Declaration, the DPRK commits to work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula
The United States and the DPRK commit to recovering POW/MIA remains, including the immediate repatriation of those already identified.
That said i will be hopeful that, unlike previous agreements, this one will develop and be successful---but we ain't there yet folks.

“The devil is in the details,” but I am still toying with the idea that Kim developed nuclear calacity with the purpose in mind of trading it away for his best deal because he has nothing else to trade but a little coal.

That is as good a theory as any I have heard---you may well be correct in that.

Is it remotely possible that Kim Jong-U.N. is North Korea’s Gorbachev?

Well hopefully the rest of the details can be worked through Congress and make it a lasting relationship. I also hope that the two Koreas can live side by side again without worrying about getting shot or imprisoned for crossing some silly line on a map. Good job and a big attaboy to all of those involved.

Kim was raised to global acceptance and wore 6" lifter shoes.... We got NOTHING. How many times have they signed the same agreement? 6?

Kim already had global recognition, he gets nothing. At the very least his people will soon see what a farce they have been living under for the past 60 plus years. What we hopefully get is some whackjob no longer being able to lob a nuke anywhere on the globe. That is hardly nothing.

For the first time, China and Russia signed on to an agreement standing against the Hermit Kingdom and it's dictator. It may not work out, that is never guaranteed, but at least Trump did not fly 150 billion dollars in cash over in an airplane in the dead of night and then have the Iranians who just got paid, call him names and threaten America the next day.

We got 3 Americans home and we got a face to face meeting with the leader of that Country. I would not call it nothing.

The only difference that I see between the agreement as some like to put in quote is that this president will blow his ass off if he tries to act like a fool the others just didn't have the balls to do that. Actually as rudimentary as that sounds I think that's what it comes down to.

Actually the same agreement has never been signed and I'm a little confused about what or how tall the leader is has to do with anything I share your concern that we all tried many times to make agreements with the North Koreans but have failed mightily under other Administrations otherwise your take on this shows an abject lack of understanding of the international Affairs in this area.

Oh and unlike the rest of the pack, Trump did not give him a butt load of free money. The only thing Trump offered him was an ass whipping if he got out of line and sent some bombs to our house or our friends house..that was it.

Glad to see that all the dead from the Korean war mean nothing to you....not like getting a few bodies back means anything......not that it will happen any time soon, but if the DMZ goes away, American troops come home from Korea....nope, not a biggie there either...

Only 2 things are guaranteed in life, you pay taxes and you die.....can you tell me who the other 6 people were that signed the same agreements......
