    Found a furry friend

Stopped by a well with a pumpjack on it way out in the middle of nowhere to talk to a customer/friend. He was working on the pumpjack itself lowering the rods and I gave him a hand. After about 25 minutes he told me to look up under the pumpjack itself. As I walked up to the base and bent over to stare under it, this little darling was staring back at me.

Scared the crap out of me for a second. She never moved and we left her alone. We were there probably an hour and a half and she stayed right there. Leo and I figured she was ready to have a few babies and we were lucky she didnt already have them as we would have been in a real pickle.

Same bloodlines as far as I am concerned, I know I did not want whatever it was to come out mad as hell at me.

Not a pet I'm sure. Here we don't like any of the big ones, lynx are here, but very rare.

And yesterday afternoon a rattlesnake killed my german shepherd. The lab knew better than to get too close, and when I go home I blew the snakes head off. Damn snakes are bad already this year. So far I have taken out 2 rattlers and a copperhead.
