Why does Jeff sessions hang on

I mean the president has done everything but kick his ass right straight out of Washington. I don't really understand why the man doesn't resign. I understand the political reasons why the president doesn't want to fire him at least I would have a spine and some sense of humility along with pride after being berated for two years by the president. I would tell Trump to kiss my ass and leave. I don't know what sessions is thinking.

He is trying to be a politician still, old habits are hard to break. He probably knows that he screwed the pooch when he stepped aside and let his 2nd take charge of the fake Russia investigation. He did exactly what the Dems wanted him to do, in fact they probably planned on him doing just that and it would not surprise me if many of them had a hand in "talking" to him about doing it.

I suspect he has been asked by Trump to hang on because if he resigns, I’d highly doubt any Trump appointee can get through the Senate, thereby leaving Rosenstein, the #2, to be the acting Attorney General. I also doubt Rosenstein can be fired for political reasons, although he certainly has earned it in spades. The long & short is that Trump is in a public relations political trap with Sessions.
