I've been wondering when they were going to release the prices. Now, I'm really disappointed. Those prices are way too high for used weapons in the condition as described. Unless of course, you want a piece of history and don't care about the condition of the weapon. I'm bummed.

My thoughts as well---I was all ready to signup until I got to the prices.

I agree with Ya'll, too high for the condition. Makes me wonder how they are going to price that 80 something thousand M1 Garands from the Philippines. If I remember correctly with processing, shipping, ect. they had less than $100 in each rifle.

Once I saw that the government had designated that organization to handle it I just said it's going to be a bunch of bureaucratic favoritism junk. I never gave it another thought

CMP has turned into a good old boys club where those with deep pockets hang out.......I know they were going to be expensive and you still have people lining up for blocks to get the paperwork.....

How much should you expect to pay for a comparable one without the military provenance?

As with most things---how much do you want to pay

    For a range---between $575 and $700 for a new A1 Mil Spec Model 1911 from Springfield Armory.

Yeah you're getting just as good a gun or better without the provenance
