Doesn't that extend out both sides equally? I think I know what your talking about but never felt uncomfortable to me, emphasis on me, except with a passenger as I am no matter the bike. My Goldwind is a flat four I think it's called and it sticks way out. If I wore anymore then the size 12 shoe that I wear I couldn't ride it. The shifter and the brake are not comfortable. In fact my steel toes are a chore.

You are correct but I think the issue is more related to the rotational moment of inertia of the mass---kind of like a balance pole.

    What did you call me?
I never owned a 750 but I put thousands of miles on them racing them. When I was 15 I weighted 95 pounds and stood five foot two! I could beat the Kawasaki 500's on a Honda 750 which was quite a feat in the day. I had a full dance card on race day, everybody wanted me to be the one to ride their bike in a race. I sure did love those 750's I planed on getting one for 40 years, up until about five years ago when I got this bare bones Goldwing, what a ride!

My bike was the 750 Honda when I decided to test out my buddy’s Goldwing and came to in the emergency room.

I road one of those Kawa’s one time, if you are talking about the triple cylinder two-cycle things. Did they call them “Tridents?” That thing was scary because it would wallow along until it hit its power band and then it was a banshee...had the worst suspension ever on top of that.

The Trident was the 750 I think and acted just as you say. I never raced one of those took a short ride around the block, didn't like it. I don't remember what they called the 500 but both of them were scary fast with a little better ride on the 500, it was still a 2stroke though, damn it was fast, did I mention that. I think the 500 would beat the 750 in a race simply because of the handling. The 750 didn't stay on the market long.
