    Pompeo meets with NKorea leader

You would think that as big of a deal as this was that it would be carried by every paper around the world. Mike Pompeo had a face to face meeting with Lil Kim over Easter weekend to set talks for him and Trump. Think of all of the leaders that have wanted to do this and only Trump gets it done. It might all fall through but the first step was made and it seems like the little madman is gaining some common sense, seeing the end of his family reign as dictator.

While the real news about this was happening the MSM is talking about a porn whore and Russian "golden showers"....and they wonder why folks think they are a joke? Trump said he would have no problem with north and south Korea having their own talks and settling their differences by themselves.

I heard several pundits and Congress members whining about how they need to have some preemptive agreements just like they always have done this type of thing. Well their past failures are a testament to how things need to change in order for something new to be tried. That is the problem, everything the old ways have done ends in failure. Trump has broken down the old barriers and those old bastards just cannot fathom that trying something new may just work.

No it's not a big deal because it came out of the Trump Administration. But when history books are written this will be a Monumental historic event. Especially if it ends up denuclearizing the North Korean peninsula. So I'm going to sit back and see what happens. Understanding all the time no matter what happens for the good of the world somehow it will be Trump's fault.

I don't know where people are concluding that somehow this is being hushed up by the mainstream media. The fact that an American is sitting down with the leader of North Korea for direct discussions has been all over the news that I look at. How much coverage would be more appropriate? How would anyone even measure that? How much would be enough?

On the specific issue of North Korea giving up their nukes, I've seen this movie before. Our diplomatic history with North Korea is filled with broken promises. Kudos to the Trump administration for giving it another go, but so did Clinton and Bush and Obama and in the end, North Korea has a nuclear reactor and a missile program.

Yeah and the guy that spearheaded initially is being thumb down by all the Democrats who are considering his confirmation as Secretary of State. Just for the record for the first time in the history of the United States. Yeah I know Paul Rand is doing his thing too like when McCain ran up the aisle ended the big thumbs down on the Health Care Act. It gets them publicity and it makes them feel powerful and good.

In the end, yea Kev your exactly right. I'm hoping that Trump goes in there with that on his menu. I hope for the world and my sake that he knocks this to the moon, whether Alice is there or not. I want to see progress I want to see some positive movement. I haven't formed an opinion in stone, I'm wanting to.

I think a lot of "first time in the history of the US" have occurred in recent past. Whether those were good things or bad depend on perspective.

For example, for the first time, the Senate kept a seat on the Supreme Court open in hopes of their candidate winning the election.

I don't get too excited about firsts.
