What will be the reaction to the Syrian chemical attack

At the risk of sounding coy I think it's going to be substantial and I think it will be surprising.

The Syrian news is reporting that a base has already been bombed. America is being blamed for it, whether we did it or not.

All I know is that with Gen James N. Mattis as SecDef they will hit the best targets hard as **** to do maximum damage with as little loss of civilian life as possible......might be happening now, in a day or 2 weeks and we might never even hear about it from the media......

Once seen by the international community as a potential reformer, the United States, the European Union, and the majority of the Arab League called for Assad's resignation from the presidency after he allegedly ordered crackdowns and military sieges on Arab Spring protesters, which led to the Syrian Civil War. During the Syrian Civil War, an inquiry by the United Nations reported finding evidence which implicated Assad in war crimes. In June 2014, Assad was included in a list of war crimes indictments of government officials and rebels handed to the International Criminal Court. Assad has rejected allegations of war crimes, and criticised the American-led intervention in Syria for attempting regime change.
And on it goes, Assad is/was anti Israel too.

The Jihadis attacked us out of their caves on 9/11 out of Afghanistan. I see why we went over there and attacked them in return. Had to happen.

Saddam Hussein threatened our vital oil supplies. I see why we went over there and took care of business. It had to happen.

I am having trouble justifying in my mind what we have to gain for the United States protecting one faction of radical Muslims killing another faction of the same thing or vice versa in worthless Syria, while putting our troops and treasure at risk. Muzzies killing Muzzies over internecine bull**** is a natural occurrence. Not our job to make it right, fun as it might be to help kill a few. Our foreign policy is for but one thing — further the United States’ national interest. On a cost/benefit basis, I do not see the value of jumping into this one, which is what Trump cautioned Obama to keep in mind years ago, and which zer’O did.

I'm not commenting on the politics of what's going to happen or whether it's right or wrong what I am going to comment on is that I think this is going to be a massive military response I do not think it will be a few cruise missiles and back to sleep. I think it will be firm and send a strong message. I have a little inside information not much but a little and I think this is not going to be Child's Play.

I think we are playing with fire. Putin is Assad's Allie and there have already been incidents between Russian troops and ours. Playing chicken with them is very dangerous.

I agree. We need to get out of that business and mind our own business.

Well I'm afraid that there is going to be military action. I have a friend who is a pilot and they have been given vectors and no-fly zones in certain areas in that part of the world. So I don't know what that means but he thinks it means there's going to be some military action. We'll see what happens.

Sounds like the strike will be coming sometime today, Putin has threatened to shoot down the incoming missiles. So much for the help getting Trump elected.

Are we positive that Assad initiated the gas attack on his own people or did someone else do it and blame Assad for it. I believe that one of the rebel groups gassed civilians early in the war and blamed Assad for it. It's difficult for me to think that he would be stupid enough to use gas with the world watching his every move.
