    First sentencing in Mueller probe

That Dutch lawyer got 30 days for lying to the investigation.

    Whoop ti doo.

I'll be interested to see how this gets spun by various media. Lots of chin stroking and sententious pronouncements by the folks who think Trump is dirty and lots of dismissal of the event as equivalent to a dog bites man story by the people who believe Trump is their savior.

I'm with the "meh" crowd. Whatever. Let me know when someone finds something important. I still don't think there is anything to find - Trump is just too stupid to be able to get into a conspiracy with anyone.

Have any of you gone deer hunting and came home with maybe only some tracks for dinner? Hey I was not a stupid deer hunter, but they weren't just there.

Dang Gina spend millions of dollars and stir up all sorts of garbage and not one American caught for collusion and none of those arrested, charged or sentenced had any charge of collusion brought against them. Not only have they not found any witches, they can even find any straw out of a broom.

You sound like a Bill Clinton supporter. The Starr investigation took over four years. I suppose you were also saying after not even one year that he should shut it down?

Another worthless investigation. Started to investigate Whitewater land deals by Janet Reno and ventured into fired travel agents and ended with the news media teaching all of the young kids at the time, about oral sex and Whitehouse interns willing to give them.

You talk about getting sidetracked it should be a poster child for anybody wanting to initiate another special investigation.

And yet, it led to the impeachment of Bill Clinton. It showed not even the President is above the law, a very valuable object lesson for future inhabitants of the office, such as the one there now.

If nothing else, it exposed the corruption of the man and that's always a good thing. The next President was a much more decent person as a result.

I wondered if you had seen that crack about being a Clinton supporter. I could only assume that your browser had been set to filter out filth and Clinton pretty much qualifies.

Kev, really, it took four years and a mountain of money to impeach the guy because he lied about what he told the investigator. That had absolutely nothing to do with the original reason for the investigation to begin with. That problem was not resolved at all. Neither was any of the other things including the rapes and sexual assaults Billy boy committed on other women.

He played the game and won. He did not lose his job, got some action in the oral office and enjoyed a good cigar afterwards. The only way he could have considered it a loss was he still had to live with that shrill he was married to, as she refused to leave him afterwards.

Would be my guess our President now would be a little harder to rattle like they did to Billy Boy.

Bill Clinton lost. He is remembered for being the second President that was ever impeached. He is remembered for the disgusting antics he brought to the office and his unslaked need for sex.

He's a joke for the ages.

You don’t have rattle the Trumpster, Billy. Just ask him a question with his name in it and write down what he spews. Ducks in a pond to a pettyfogger.

The reason I say Bill won is because he never went to jail for all of his sexual assaults and rapes. He still gets 500,000 a speech in Russia and the Dems still bow to him as a god. All he got was a slap on the wrist and went on to win again.

Yes we agree that he is a joke, too bad the crowd does not dance to our tune.

He avoided legal penalties, sure. But as I was pointing out in a different thread, public service means a whole lot more to me than just avoiding jail.

It is a privilege and an honor to serve the people of this country. We take an oath of office and if we are not just looking for a paycheck, then that means more than just the words on the paper. Bill Clinton may have avoided jail but he crapped all over everything about government service that I value and that is not something that can ever be forgotten or forgiven.
