    Trump's war

Seems the Chinese have chosen to enter this stupid and unnecessary "war".

I have to give them credit--their response is insightful and calculated---they are going right to Trump's base in the heartland. The farmers are going to feel this---and they are already in bad straights.

Are we supposed to imagine what the hell you are talking about or did the link get lost in space? My ESP isn't quite what it used to be.

33% of all the soybeans grown in the US is exported to China.

That could really hit the farmers in the pocketbook at the same time as their equipment is getting 25% more expensive.

Great Trade War. Are we winning yet?

I would expect the President will soon receive a call from Pat Woertz and Juan Luciano explaining how stupid this is.

He's talking about a trade war, which is stupid and self-defeating.

Happens all of the time, we just don't get the media involved in it. Deals come and go on a daily basis, no big deal, other than what the news is making of it.

TM you will have to explain in small words what your getting at, trade wars gone on for ever, but Trump haters make it something new.

No Billy---Trump made it new. It is his term not mine.

Deals are made after negotiation and are designed to arrive at a mutually beneficial outcome. Trade wars are a tit for tat escalation of the cost of goods with a motivation of hurting another country.

Deals are a win/win. Trade wars are lose/lose.

No one called it a war when the Chinese, Japanese, South Koreans imposed onerous tariffs on American finished products coming their way. I wonder why?

Seems he thinks he knows so much about everything and yet is really disconnected and does not knwo what he thinks he does....

But don't tell him, it will hurt his feelings as he has a superiority complex.....

Probably because the President didn't say "Hey, I'm going to start a trade war!"

    Maybe?

When did actually knowing something beyond bar talk about a subject become a bad thing?

Guys the Chinese and others have been shafting us for years, why are you not mad at them? Oh yea, lets get mad at the American guy first. They have manipulated the markets, currency rates and everything they could get their hands on and it is somehow Trump's fault?

China builds junk, they make a lot of money off of Americans buying their stuff, they do not buy as much of ours as we do theirs. They own a whole lot of our debt, it would be in theirbest interest to not piss US off. We can hurt them more than they can hurt us. So we may pay a bit more for some things, thats okay we will survive.

I still have to laugh at the stupidity of some of the Dems hollering about how the consumers are going to be paying more because it will cause prices to rise, yet when it comes to raising taxes on these same companies IT IS OKAY TO MAKE THE CONSUMERS PAY MORE????

What is wrong with those people, are they stupid or just not thinking?
