Schumer Stalling Nominee Approval Process In Unprecidented Manner

Schumer has instituted a scorched earth policy on the confirmation process in the Senate. A cloture vote to limit debate takes 60 votes minimum to shut it off. In the past four administrations the cloture vote was required in only 32 instances combined for position nominees. So far in a little over a year, Schumer using arcane Senate rules has managed to require 79 of them. In many cases, once the vote is finally taken many of the nominees have been approved unanimously. Thus, according to the rules, having failed cloture the Senate process allows up to 30 hours of debate before an approval vote can be taken, which Schumer then does force. At this rate the Senate will take 11 1/2 YEARS to complete the approval process on Trump nominees.

I ask you, who is bolloxing up the process?

Childish, yet the dumbasses in his district must think it is cute because they keep voting for him. Which is why we need term limits, seems like the only way to get rid of the trash in Congress. THat kind of behavior should never be condoned by anybody no matter what party. This is OUR govt, not Schumers, he works for us....somebody up there needs to fire his ass.

Gorsuch is living proof that this sort of obstruction is not without precedent. Stupid, childish, destructive - yes. Unprecedented - no, unfortunately.

Yep. In a 5500 lbs. Cadillac Eldorado convertible, jade green with a white top and a 500 cubic inch cast iron engine. All the way from Chicago to LA and we'll do it again in a few years. This country is big, beautiful and endlessly fascinating.
