IRS funds 1.2 million fraudulent SS numbers used

Looks like the IRS needs a good house cleaning. They have discovered 1.2 million cases of Identity theft between 2011 and 2016 yet they havent reported it to LEO's for criminal investigation and prosecution. That is a shame, but they will hunt down some poor hardworking guy for not having a 25 dollar receipt?

The amount of corruption in our federal govt is astounding. They all need to be chit canned and a whole new bunch placed in their jobs. No pensions, no unemployment and jail time for many of them.

The Internal Revenue Services documented over 1.2 million cases of illegal immigrants filing tax returns with illegitimate social security numbers in 2017,

"Note that a Social Security Number may have been used on Form W-2 for more than one of these returns."

Between processing years 2011 and 2016, "the IRS placed the employment identity theft marker on 1,346,485 taxpayer accounts," according to a TIGTA report from last month.

When asked by CNSNews.com how many of these cases "did the IRS refer to federal law enforcement for criminal investigation and prosecution? How many did they not refer to law enforcement and why not?"

TIGTA responded: "We do not have this information."

"Over the last few years, IRS-Criminal Investigation prioritized its limited resources pursuing identity thieves who stole millions of identities from innocent taxpayers and applied for, and received, tax refunds based on those identities," TIGTA added in response to a question about successful prosecutions of employment identity theft.

I've never been a government worker but the 60 hour weeks I've done as a millwright make one think maybe a wrong occupation was chosen. At one plant remember begging for Sunday afternoon off.

Yep I remember those 12 hour days and 7 days a week drilling jobs well. Off shore was better with a same days off as days worked schedule. 14 on 14 off....30 on 30 off.

These govt pukes need to be out pushing a broom or running a shovel if they can not do their damn jobs correctly and honestly.
