I watch some of the better NBA teams play but I find College Basketball and most NBA games to be unwatchable

One of the best things that came with moving out of Indiana was leaving Hoosier hysteria behind. The evening network TV news would be preempted by high school tournaments.

Well I will watch it very closely when he gets to the final 8. That is college basketball at its best. But I do understand TGs point it can get somewhat tedious and irritating trying to watch the entire game.

Best ball players a college can afford. A "B" league of the NBA if ever one wants to admit it.

Should do away with all the "sports" by colleges and stay with education. Of course that's MHO.

I don't watch very many sports of any kind but up here I decided to try to keep up with the Broncos and watched almost every game.

The thing that always surprised me was the introductions of the players of all the teams where they said their name and the school they had attended. So many were straight from high schools.

I played baseball in little league, football in middle school and basketball in high school. They are all fun to play but watching them is as boring as bowling. (Yes, I bowled in a League during my second marriage)

Because NFL players do not announce their colleges is not an indication they did not attend one, Don. Some just chose to promote other connections in the brief chance they get in introductions. Practically no players in the NFL for many decades did not learn their craft in the monopolistic American college NCAA scheme, which rigorously keeps them from selling their skills to the highest bidder with room, board and tuition provided instead of what they are really worth to their schools which earn tens of million$ off them. It’s a racket.

There are a very few foreign players who may not have been trapped in the system. In the NBA there are more players straight from high school such as LaBron James who are such mutants they matriculate straight to the league, but very few.

I have to confess I had to look up who LaBron James was and which game he was playing.

Its more fun if you went to the school playing. My alma mater did great in 2010 until they ran up against an actually good team - Kentucky. Until then, it was fun to watch because it was so improbable. Reality came crashing down when the pixie dust finally blew off. Cornell was hell on wheels with three point shots but Kentucky never gave them a look at the basket and it all fizzled.

My wife and daughter went to Syracuse University and while they root for the Orange, the Orange is about to have their butts handed to them by Duke. Coach K has Jimmy B's number. About the only way Syracuse can win is if Duke only puts three guys out on the floor. Four would be a toss up but five? No way Syracuse can beat that. SU is a mediocre team most years and sometimes get hot and make an run but I don't think that is likely this year.
