    Kharma Baby

too funny: I'm driving the Paratransit Van WB on I580 and going to take the ramp to I680 N and there is this butt head in front of me going slow and texting. I see a CHP SUV entering the fwy at Hacienda and he pulls in behind me. After Hopyard I merge right onto the I680 ramp. the texting butthead does the same with no signal and the CHP glides in behind me. I'm thinking how do I point out the guy in front of me to the CHP? Once on 680 the cruiser swings up along side of me and I look over. My friend Tyler, a fellow mountain biker and Dublin CHP PIO is behind the wheel, He waves, smiles, pulls in front of me hits his lights and pulls joe texter to the shoulder....Made my effing day

I don't know why folks are still texting while driving. Even the less expensive phones will read the text to you and you can use voice recognition to respond back without ever looking at the phone.

My Subaru has a radio that will do all that, pausing the music, reading the text, sending a response, then turning the music back on without my having to look down or touch the phone.

    Get with the program texters!!

Why can't that just happen to me once when some dude runs up on my ass while I'm driving 90 and then runs around me and flips me a bird

I remember the youtube video of the guy doing that to a woman and then losing control of his pickup truck and rolling it into the ditch.

Oh Karma, you are a cruel mistress.

I spent about 56 years driving in Texas. The last 10 of it driving from Farmersville to Irving, about a 70 mile trip each way on Central Expressway and I635 twice a day 5 to 6 days a week.

My observations of folks driving up here are if you turn on your turn signal drivers will make room for you to change lanes. One of the reasons folks from Texas do not use their turn signals is in Texas drivers will rush to close up any breaks that you might try for if they see your signal.

California traffic is horrible but the folks out there seem to be "we are all in this together". In 2001 when I drove out to Ventura to pick up my brand new 5th wheel trailer a few days before Christmas on a Friday evening at 5:00, I had never pulled a trailer in traffic before. I was really worried about running out of diesel and the traffic was bumper to bumper. The speed limit was 55 for trucks and trailers and 70 for autos. The danged highway kept exiting only on the right side so I kept having to move to the left. Each time I turned on my turn indicator the cars would make room for me. I was never so glad to finally get out to Interstate 5. The drivers were more considerate there than anywhere else I have been except here.

It is easy for an old Texas driver to not get angry in traffic in Colorado Springs.
