    Secret Meeting in Seychelles

The United Arab Emirates arranged a secret meeting in January between the US Secretary of Education Betsy DeVoss' brother and a Russian close to President Vladimir Putin as part of an apparent effort to establish a back-channel line of communication between Moscow and President-elect Donald Trump, according to U.S., European and Arab officials.

The meeting took place on Jan. 11, 2017 — nine days before Trump’s inauguration — in the Seychelles islands in the Indian Ocean, officials said. Though the full agenda remains unclear, the UAE agreed to broker the meeting in part to explore whether Russia could be persuaded to curtail its relationship with Iran, including in Syria, a Trump administration objective that would be likely to require major concessions to Moscow on U.S. sanctions.

What a small world we live in today in this New World Order.

How silly, he has a direct line of communication sitting on his desk. WHy would he need to go to such lengths to hide something so easy to do. I am sure that Trump had one of those new inventions called a cell phone, that he could have called and talked to them personally. You guys will do to great lengths to make something seem mysterious, you should write books.

If true, these are things I would expect an American president or one to be to do. Now, tell me something wrong with the ages-old process of backdoor meetings between leaders to feel each other out.

Lying to Congress in no big deal. Ask John Brennen. He makes it a sport.

Isn't that what happens anytime Schumer or Pelosi walks up to the microphone to talk?? Obama did it, Lerner did it, Hilliary did it numerous times in one year. I'm pretty convinced Don himself is guilty of that, so we are used to lying.

I do admit I have stated opinions and some facts that I thought were true that were later proven to be false. I am not infallible and never claimed to be.

I have never lied in any legal proceeding while under oath. I have never lied to a federal investigator. Instead of lying I simply said nothing. It still really angered them though.

Why would he need a back door channel to the Russians if all that collusion was going on?

I very rarely listen to him so I wouldn't know. Are you a regular listener?

I listen to him from time to time. I wouldn't go so far as to say "regular". I do miss a few of his rants.

I listen to Savage and NPR. It was a habit I got into while I was unable to read.
