I agree with Dork and Ben, if you are going to train an under 21 person fight and kill in the service, then that person more than deserves the rights of a 21 year old person. They will see and know much more than the local HS quarterback about how to act responsibly. Of course they may still try to date the head cheerleader, but at least they will have enough money to pay for the dinner and movie instead of going dutch.

I do not know the laws in other States but in Texas youngsters have to take some classes before getting their hunting license and have to hunt with an adult. When I was in 5th grade, that would make me around 11, I had my own 20 ga Mossberg bolt action to hunt dove and quail and a Model 700 270 to hunt deer with. Wish I still had the 270, it would be worth a small fortune to me.

Kroger’s/Fred Myers sells guns somewhere? Aren’t they food stores? Mass hysteria.

Mine was just like that one. Sold it for 300 bucks to pay for my divorce from my first wife. Should have kept the gun and sold her.

This 18 verses 21 year old argument regarding if you can serve you should have it had a long ago been put away when it came to something as simple as alcohol. Yes you can be drafted and forced into the military at the age of 18 but you can't buy alcohol in any state in this Union. So what's the difference if you can't buy an AR-15 at 18. I don't get it. They're both dangerous when not used properly.

Are you saying that if they haven't graduated West Point or Annapolis and been commissioned yet, they can't buy a gun until they're 21?...How about 18-20 year olds in ROTC?...Reservists and NG aren't active military; must they wait until they're 21?...If they've demonstrated the maturity to vote, do they have to wait until 21 to buy a lever-action Winchester .30-30?...If yes to any of those, how are you justifying it?......Ben
