I read an article a couple of days ago about a glitch some engineer discovered in the computer codes which translated the information being registered by telescopes into analog photos. It said the Hubble suffered from this defect as well as probably most of the hundred or so other telescopes in orbit. I had no idea there were more than a few telescopes in orbit. Maybe a lot of them are spy sats looking down rather than out. Never thought of it before.

I also saw an article yesterday that said the evil Russians have developed a new strong laser flown high in one of their planes designed to take out our satellites. I wondered at the time if we (and others) have sats up which are stealth by design that cannot be detected by sight or radar, therefore not easy to take out. I’ll bet there are.
