    New 12 gauge...

Incoming shortly.. mag fed, short barrel (11.5") SAP 6. Plans are to modify it as a bush gun that will be carried in a back pack ... first mod will be a mercury tube to tame the recoil...

Reformation looks the way to go Vs a Turkish made funky action tax stamp gauge. Local Gunshop/range has a couple of the SAP6's and members can rent em...was talked into renting one & a boz of 00 Buck....

Recoil not bad at all, but the trugger sucked and the action is funky and nasty, was a problem even after cleaning & oiling with SLIP 2000, short stroked, must have had 6-8 malfunctions in a single box of 25 00 buck......

I'll stick with the Beretta 1301T for now & see what shakes out this year at SHOT.....

870's are the cornerstone of pump guns, you might have a few pumps that are better and a tone that are worse, but the 870 is the iconic pump gun & coupled with a makover by Vang Comp you just can't get a better pump...

We were in the city last year and ran into a anifta/BLM protest by accident after leaving a show....made it to the car and the 1301T & hung out in the parking garage till the thugs passed....

I run a 870,, too. As well as a Benelli M3. However, needed a small shotgun that the wife could tote in the Canadian backcountry. She doesn't have the reach to rack the Remi without short shucking...; and the Benelli is off limits to every one...

How are the Canadians on short barrel shotguns do you have any idea what the regulations are. Does the barrel have to be a certain length like it does here or how does it work

I ran across this article on new shotguns of 2018 you gun-guys might find useful. For me, too many notes...I could not finish reading it —

The Sap is classified under Canadian gun laws as non restricted as it's over all length exceeds 26 inches. It's currently in the shop to be threaded for a rifled choke which will allow for a few more extra inches on the plus side. However, it will never will cross the boarder into the US being considered illegal due to it's short barrel.
