    Treachery And Confusion Abound In The Levant

    ISIS has a base in Lebanon near the Syrian border and had captured 9 Lebanese soldiers in 2014. In a deal to get the soldiers' bodies back, the Lebanese agreed along with the Syrian government to give "free passage" of 670 ISIS fighters, plus their retinue from their base to the other side of Syria near the Iraq border. The U.S. forces took the position that they were not part of the deal and bombed the crap out of the convoy and other ISIS fighters that came to the aid of their compadres. Because the U.S. bombers could not get just the fighters, they have not finished them off yet, but cratered the road so they could not move.

    In the meantime, forces backed by the Turks are shooting at American forces in Syria...

    We still have the garbage trapped in the open desert, and while refusing to annihilate the whole bunch because of the non-fighters present, we are butchering those coming to the rescue of their compadres. The trapped convoy is being described as "like drawing moths to a flame" and are easy pickings for circling death. Now they know what it is like throwing gasoline on prisoners in a cage. Allah Akbar!
