I have my Amish green grocer friend now growing Cayennes, Jalapenos, and Hungarian Hot Wax peppers. I haven' talked him into Habanero as yet and not sure I will try. We are very marginal with them and when I used to grow them I would start the seed inside in March and then plant them through black plastic to raise the soil temperature. The black plastic stayed in place all summer. I'm not sure I want to put Jesse at that much risk and effort for small returns.
I have been drying Cayennes every week---2 qts at a time. I'm hoping for one more batch.
I have upped my normal breakfast dose when I am home. I mince one Habanero, one Jalapeno and two or three Cayennes (depending on size) and a couple slices of onion under my eggs---my eggs and me love it
This week is being nasty---it is only Tuesday and my traveling case of peppers ran out last night
