Why Are We Defenseless Against A NORK Nuke Missile Attack?

Who is responsible? This might give a clue —

...When President George W. Bush came to office, he revitalized missile-defense efforts and withdrew from the ABM treaty. Democrats were more upset than the Russians. Sen. Joseph Biden declared, “The thing we remain the least vulnerable to is an ICBM attack from another nation,” adding, “This premise that one day Kim Jong-il or someone will wake up one morning and say ‘Aha, San Francisco’ is specious.”...

The quote is but one example of the Democrat infamy associated with the history of how they foiled various missile defense programs. They have more than the notorious fool, Biden, in their coterie. They are still there even after recent events prove their stupidity.

Not to argue about who screwed the pooch but this is a far more complex problem than missile defense---which we do have. The larger problem here is that because of the proximity of Seoul to NK and the limited ability to immediately neutralize a conventional artillery attack there are more than 10 million people at risk within minutes of the beginning of hostilities.

The viability of our current missile defense is theoretical and test results are uneven.
The real threat to the continental United States is an EMP attack, which also is theoretical at this point, but ample evidence exists to fear one in the extreme. Only one device needs to get through for a devistating EMP attack over a huge area.

Nothing much we can do about South Korea except promise annihilation of the North.

Not worried about NK nukes (at this time)... it's bio terrorism using infected humans to deliver a cocktail of pathogens such as Marburg and Yersinia pestis into the general population...

The way people and materials move the bug would be world wide within a week more than likely, probably before we even knew we had it.
Just a guess on my part but I remember when the news did a thing on how the flu spread, it doesn't take long.

Another missile test over Japan. Another nuke test in the near future [ if reports are correct ]. Just when are the Pols in charge going to wake up.

Sure, there is no denying that there will be an unacceptable number of deaths if a war were to start.

BUT, the longer the wait, the greater the number of deaths. The fat kid is not going to be deterred by sanctions.

There are, at this point, only two options. China takes the ball and gets rid of him or, a unified allied strike gets rid of him.

The longer it is put off worse it will be.
