Do not read too much in the demand for immunity. After Scooter Libby and others was screwed to tears, any lawyer representing a client in a sensitive position will make that recommendation. If the opposite occurs - Flynn takes the 5th - that may well be the worst optics for Trump.

If I am not mistaken, a committee in Congress cannot effectively grant immunity without the Attorney General approving also, which would mean the Administration holds the key to any such action. Trump would therefore get the condemnation of "trying to hide something," if his AG refuses, or get props if he accedes and says tell it all. Remember, Flynn not only has to answer on his Russian connections, but his Turkey ones as well, plus who knows what else we do not know about.

On edit: if the Trump Administration through the AG's office does sign on to an immunity deal, then expect to hear copious screams from the Left that he gave a gift to his buddy. With the Left, you are damned if you do, damned if you don't.

James----you really don't know who "my side is"---so enough with the incrimination.

The reality is I don't have a side. As I have said many times in the past I am an equal opportunity critic.

Unless the issue involves Donald J. Trump in which case it is total critic 24/7.

Obviously you have selective retention, I have complemented Mr Trump a number of times---right here---the most recent of which was yesterday.

You might want to pony up a retraction councilor.

I think Flynn is guilty of a few things unrelated to 45 and just wants blanket coverage

Like Waco said, I would not offer to do anything for the govt without some sort of protection. Funny how they want to make sure everything WE say is correct and verifiable, yet they can lie like dogs and spread political BS without so much as a reprimand. They can spy on us and record any of our conversations and that is okay, but they feel it is terrible to do that to themselves.

Yes Dave, I think it is pretty obvious that you are linked hand in hand, by your everyday negative posts and comments to the radical left, guilty by association to the "other" team. It is a daily onslaught from you and the left wing media of negative or cheesy comments against Trump and his team, so that would also make you, "the other side". Don't get me wrong, you have every right to say whatever you want and that is okay, just own up to it and quit being butt hurt when I call you out.

2T, you libs think everybody from the right is guilty of something. In fact you and your fellow libs have raged against the right so much, it is now taken more as comedy than anything remotely serious. I would equate it more to chicken little running around saying the sky is falling before I would take any of it as serious. That means when something serious happens, you will just be mocked and ridiculed because you have worn out the alarm bells.

Just for the record James---my problem with Mr Trump is not his philosophical position as it relates to government---I am in far more agreement than disagreement with his fiscal policies in particular---my problem with Mr Trump is that he is a dishonest, lying, immoral, unprincipled, sleaze bag

And how is this any different than any of the other morons who reside in Congress? Even the guy you say you voted for, pulled a stupid stunt trying to get HIS version of healthcare passed, while locking the other side and most of his own side out. The Dems are just butt hurt over losing the election and the reason why they lost is because their girl was more of a dishonest, lying, immoral, unprincipled sleaze bag than the one that won. Not hard to figure that one out. The coronation was derailed and all of the plans they had made went right to the sewer.

On another note.... The leaker/unmasker was revealed today, imagine that, an Obama hack who seems to have a history of lying in front of cameras. Just a couple weeks ago she was asked point blank by her own news team and denied knowing anything about all of this. I hope they finally throw that dingbat in prison, where she belongs. Would not surprise me if she was also the one that orchestrated the mission leak where the SEAL was killed days after Trump took office. Those lowlife scumbags have not a single thread of decency, putting Obama and his ilk in office AND following that douchebag with HIlliary would have caused the collapse of AMerica as we know it.

Susie Rice might want to reach out to her good buddy, Donna Brazile, to gain insight on how not to deny wrongdoing when caught red handed. The subsequent admissions of guilt can be brutal, besides, Rice has zero reputation to protect since a string of idiot remarks in her past starting with the Benghazi parade of network lies leading up to the fool actually lauding Bowe Bergdahl as a great patriot exposed her as a major Obama hack and lackie. She worked in the White House and anything she did there has Obama's fingerprints and stink.

You can't throw somebody under the bus when they already live there.

Well Fred, when something like this happens you have to trace the steps, either backwards or forwards until you solve the mystery. In this case we now know both ends, she was the one that had the names unmasked and somebody outed that Flynn was talking to the Russian rep as a result of what Rice did. Now, who did she tell and starting with her which person committed the felony by passing along that info to the media? Susan Rice made herself look even more guilty when just a couple of weeks ago she sat in front of a reporter and said she had no idea of anything like this and played dumb,(actually with her Benghazi debacle I doubt she was playing). Now she comes out and say it was her that had the names unmasked, hmmm, doesn't look good for her being honest and trustworthy.

Combine this with what Farkas said on another news channel in an interview, where she said that they were told to get everything they knew out in the open so the next admin would not hide it. That is the second strike. More people that knew about and spread that around as well. Let's not forget the acting AG that was fired for going against the wishes of her POTUS. The whole picture looks a little corrupt coming from the Obama folks. Maybe many of them should stand trial for their actions and go to jail if found guilty of anything.
