The Further Lunacy Of Burning Food In Your Engine

I am putting this thread in "Politics" because the policy of forcing ethanol into our gasoline blends is 100% political in nature and a successful product of an open conspiracy between the Federal government, Congress, presidents of differing ilk, and ag. rent-seekers. It continues unabated even as new sources of much cheaper domestic oil are rushing on line.

Besides the elevation of cost for fuel these forced and false imperatives have wrought on the general populace, there are valid reasons to believe that food scarcities of diversion of corn and other food stuffs to fuel have caused shortages in other countries leading to riots and unrest. One theory goes so far as to put rapidly rising food costs to the poor as the percipitating factor of the "Arab Spring" turmoil and its consequences.

Even the Algores of the world concede that burning food as fuel has no beneficial effects on their holy carbon war.

Now, we learn what has been decreed while we have been asleep. In the Byzantine world of bureaucratic shenanigans rules force refiners to buy government "Renewable Credits" when or if ethanol becomes scarce, as it has from current drought conditions. This rule inevitably effects you at the pump because of the fictions created by the rules levied on refiners by the government/AG cartel requiring their product be used even though it brings nothing to the table but cost.

Another glaring example of the Federal government screwing you to tears.

We don't run up there just for car gas because even thro it burns better its a wash cost wise because it takes a couple gals to make the round trip.

Not to mention that it has been shown that ethanol is corrosive to normal engines and will shorten their life. With the addition of the added cost spike for regular food anybody that thinks the govt should be calling the shots on what products we use in our daily lives should take a better look at how incompetent the morons really are.

I believe even the enviromentalists are against ethanol blending. Seems like it has to do more with politics than anything. Our local marina sells the ethanol free fuel.

Ethanol ruins engines not built to use it. It eats all the gaskets. I had to replace about everything on my Bobcat 310 skid-loader to use this ***t.

I've found that engine-heat baked potatoes works well, if you do not "nest" them on the manifold.
