    Frac Fluids Disclosure....

Well the Texas law has been in place for a couple of weeks and where is all of the fallout from the looney liberals finding all of those harmful chemicals? To those who need a place to find out about one of the bigger companies who always seems to have rocks thrown its direction, here is the Halliburton site with their disclosure chemicals list......http://www.halliburton.com/public/pr...isclosure.html

As the graph shows, it tells the same story that many of us have been saying all along, the main ingredients in frac water is "water". The second largest part is sand. Although sand has been played in for thousands of years and is the only solid in many deserts, beaches and other lands, it somehow gets put on the list of hazardous materials. Go figure that one out and remember to bring your kids in on windy days when dust is in the air as it will surely kill them on contact.

I waited for some of the louder groups to point their fingers and loudly proclaim "we told you so" but it seems like this "Frac Fluid" scare has turned into another hoax and is quietly going away. Imagine that, all that work and whining to be faced with such a letdown....horrible isnt it?

The link I provided also gives the relative amounts of the additives in relation to the water mixture and also gives the other common household uses for these same chemicals. The acids, hydrochloric acid especially, is more commonly known as muriatic acid that is in every backyard swimming pool is sold at many grocery stores. Acetic acid is in all citrus based cleaners that many are touting as "green cleaners". The gels are made from bentonite which is just a fancy word for clay. Where is all the secret killer chemicals that all of the chicken littles were screaming about?

I'm just glad to see that now the true and correct info about this "mysterious fluid" can now be seen and people can go back to worrying about something else. Now maybe they will also understand that when this fluid comes back to the surface, it is collected in tanks and disposed of and not allowed to just run down the gutters of the streets uncontrolled.Think about that here in the coming months when you see people draining their backyard swimming pools getting them ready for summer for the kids to swim in the hydrochloric acid laced pool water!!

While you are on the Halliburton website, also click on the Fracturing 101 link for a good idea of what EXACTLY a frac is. Try not to let the so-called "facts" the news reporters try to piece together for a 60 second segment get in the way of the total picture. You wanted the truth so sit there and look at it ALL. Pretty simple project actually, slthough it looks complicated because of all of the equipment involved it is a basic process.

Reminds me of the Eco wacko's around here that worry about spotted owls that will make a nest in your front room should you leave them along. Don't let us make lumber from dead and dieing trees because that's nature and forest fires will end there tenure.
