Goldwater was literally the first person I ever voted for in a public election, and I will still go with his sentiment expressed in that quote. It is the only thing, but a big one, that gives me the heeby-jeebies about Santorum.
    ..

I looked back and somethin' really nasty is gaining on me.

Romney is just as big a thumper as the rest, and he doesnt scare you? Barry thumps the bible of Marxism and we have to get rid of that.

I remember a lecture in law school given by one of the best criminal defense lawyers in our state. It was about striking jurors. He said a bunch, but he did say one thing that startled me. He said if you get someone in the pool that is ultra-Christian (whatever he meant by that, I think I knew), strike them, every time, all the time, "why you ask, because the have no compassion".

    EXACTLY RIGHT!

Given all the various 'GODs' running loose on this planet, none of them have any business meddling with the USA legal or political system.

What is any difference between the extreme Christians and the extreme atheists? Both have their "ultra" viewpoints leaning towards each particular side, so why is one different than the other? Making a big deal out of just one side seems kind of dumb, throw out both ends and keep whats left in the middle. Nawww its just to boring picking on one side and since its usually them bad old Christian critters that are usually to blame for everything, lets just call them all out.

I wonder what you people are gonna bitch about when the Islamists are running things......Oh wait, you wont bitch long because they will cut your head off at the local football execution stadium.

Look, all I am saying is both sides have tunnel vision. I made the mistake of running for city council in my small town. I was GRILLED time and time and time again about my religious beliefs, I always answered the same, which was truthful, I am a Christian, I was baptized and I support religious freedom. One particular lady grabbed me by my collar and spewed her bad breath in my face and demanded "how much to love Jesus". I just walked out of her yard and swore I would never venture into politics again.

I have no freaking idea what the hell you are talking about.

My religion is just that, mine. I don't put out my beliefs to you guys because it's none of your damn buisness what it is or how I personally do things. Suffice it to say it is different from yours and predates it by 1000's of years.

I do believe in a complete divestiture of government and religion to ensure that any of our beliefs are not legislated into or out of practice by the imposition a particular group coming into power and creating an "Official Sanction"

    pa·gan
       [pey-guhn] Show IPA
    noun
    1.
one of a people or community observing a polytheistic religion, as the ancient Romans and Greeks.
    2.
a person who is not a Christian, Jew, or Muslim.
    3.
    an irreligious or hedonistic person.

For crying out loud, you have "born again pagan" on every post you write. It's not a well kept secret, nor does it appear that you wish to keep it private.
