    Is this even legal?

Given his propensity to rule instead of govern, is this edict from Pa Ave even legal to do since its a law, and not an executive order?

Dumbing down of America makes for more liberal Democrats depending on Oboma.

I thought he was all for getting kids educated. How cab you make a child learn more with inferior teachers and lower the testing requirements?

As far as giving leeway, that doesnt surprise me at all with this bunch of idiots.

Gee and another 28 states are busy applying for the same. Makes one wonder about the original bill when so many want to opt out.

Whenever a full-on leftist like Teddy Kennedy mates with an ersatz "conservative" and pumps out a law, No Child Left Behind or its kin is what one can expect. Both these creepy wings of DC lovers just know what's best for you, your children and your dogs. All States and their hapless occupants should be given a blanket waiver from federal laws...in fact, the Tenth Amendment (the forgotten part of the Constitution) went a long way toward doing that. What the hell part of the Constitution gives power to the feds to set standards for States' education policies in order to get back the money confiscated from its citizens in the first place unless they first tow DC apparachniks' dictates?

The teachers just don't want to do a days work for a days pay, the unions have a lot of power.

im not blaming the teachers wholly, because parents and students are needed to complete the picture. however, the original question doesnt have anything to do with teachers being stupid, students being lazy or parents not caring what happens. im asking how the pres can skirt the law by makingan edict, and not be questioned by it?

They only whine when it concerns the right to free speech and they are being asked to keep it quiet...the MSM that is. When it is their idea its okay.

First the Pres wants to raise education standards, then wants to give certain people a pass because they just cant teach them? Sounds like some sorry teachers and some real sorry schools. Maybe they should use their money to raise the standards of their teachers instead of supporting political parties.

It's all cool...He stuck the insurers with the bill after all...And guess who pays for that?...

    LINK...
Obama on Friday made insurers responsible for providing free birth control to employees of religious groups, aiming to placate outraged leaders of the Catholic church who oppose contraception and to defuse an election-year landmine.

Right you are Ben. But remember, Obozo said insurance was going to take care of everybody for anything and for almost free. Even worse scenario...if his complete HC bill would have passed all of our tax money would be paying for this as well.

Really people....this is the best you could do, elect a total buffoon who is so inept that no matter which direction he turns he screws things up? And to top it all off, expects the taxpayers to pay for it all?
