I am one who loves Christmas music and find myself at times in June listening to the same beautiful music as I enjoy in Dec. I have a collection of Christmas music on my cloud and have been "captive" to that since Thanksgiving. Here is one of many favorites of mine.

And another just to relax to.

Not to be left out are two of the GREATS! I was lucky enough to have seen Pavarotti a number of times---he had a love affair with Philadelphia and it was reciprocal. He did an annual concert here for many years.

Justin Tucker who just tied the NFL record of 10 over 50 yard field goals in one season has more than a talented foot.

A new find for me, Il Volo. This is a collection of their work as well as their coming of age.

I stumbled on this quiet by accident on PBS after the football game this afternoon. Because I have been there so often I knew that the concert was being performed in the Piazza del Duomo in front of the Il Duomo di Firenze (Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore) in Florence---one of the most beautiful of all Cathedrals whose construction began in the 13th century.

Back to the music---there were three young singers performing with a large concert orchestra. Much to my surprise they invited the maestro to join them in a song. I had only seen him from the back---as he turned and stepped down off the podium I realized this was no "normal" maestro--it was Plácido Domingo and this was a tribute to the Three Tenors....and withJackie Evancho.

Even though I much prefer the much more rare baritone voice exemplified by the surprising Justin Tucker, Il Volo's Nessun Dorma gave me chill bumps as it always does when sung so well. Each of those tenors is wonderful - and different. A treat.

Now, for some real refinement — The Amadeus Electric Quartet.

I never realized how close the slide guitar and the sitar are to each other before —

If you have trouble remembering Jackie Evancho's story, the way I did, the clip below may help you recall what a phenom she was at 10 years old when she won America's Got Talent. Fortunately, unlike boys, her voice did not change and she still sounds angelic.

Here she is at 13 in 2013 as she matures a bit singing "Bridge Over Troubled Water," truly a precocious musical talent —

I would gladly trade my slide guitar for your Amadeus Electric Quartet. Pleasant on the ears and eyes. Thanks.

Nice span of music---thank you gentlemen.

Not to be crude----but referring to the electric quartet ----I have to admit, I immediately became envious of that piano stool

One of them is actually a baritone.

Before you watch this video take a few moments in meditation---- and ask for both understanding and acceptance.

It's times like this that I am reminded of how much of a failure I really am
