The Sound Of Silence is a wonderful song by a brilliant writer. Paul Simon has such a way with his lyrics and his melodies can be quite intricate. Bridge Over Troubled Waters has some profound key and tempo changes that catch me very time even though I've heard it hundreds of times over fifty years.

I've seen some lists of top pop songs recently which have The Sound Of Silence high up in the top ten of all songs. Matter of taste, of course.

Still lovin' YouTube for access to these great performances and many I would never otherwise hear. The list on the right of the page can send you branching off to who-knows-where for hours, if you like music like I do. Yesterday, for instance, I started with Disturbed and ended up with Eric Clapton. How does that happen?
