    It took me multiple sittings to get through that---and multiple teases along the way--but two things that struck me beyond the music:

    1. 1994, "I'll Make Love to You" with the picture of Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky in their now famous embrace---which strangely didn't happen until 1998.
    2. "The Whistling Coon" by Sam Devere---how things have changed

    Talk about stereotypes! The lyrics:
    THE WHISTLING COON.

    Copyright, 1878, by Sam Devere.

    Oh! I’ve seen in my time some very funny folks,

    But the funniest of all I know

    Is a colored individual, as sure as you’re alive,

    As black as any black coon;

    You may talk until you’re tired,

    but you’ll never get a word

    From this very funny, queer old coon;

    He’s a knock-kneed, double-jointed, hunky-plunky moke,

    And he’s happy when he whistles this tune:-(Whistles.)

    Oh, lie’s got a pair of lips, like a pound of liver split,

    And a nose like an injun rubber shoe,

    He’s a limpy, happy, chuckle-headed, huckleberry nig,

    And he whistles like a happy killy-loo;

    He’s an independent, free-and-easy, fat-and-greasy ham,

    With a cranium like a big baboon;

    Oh, I never heard him talk to anybody in my life,

    But he’s happy when he whistles this tune :-(Whistles.)

    Oh, he’d whistle in the morning,

    through the day and through the night,

    And he’d whistle like the devil going to bed.

    Oh, he’d whistle like a locomotive engine in his sleep,

    And lie whistled when his wife was dead;

    One day a fellow hit him with a brick upon the mouth,

    And his Jaw swelled up like a balloon,

    Now he goes along shaking like a monkey in a fit,

    And this is how he whistles that tune :-(Whistles)

    Something tells me there will be no Broadway revival of that show.

    I was initially surprised at some of the racist songs myself, but upon reflection, I realized I should not be surprised. Things were a lot different than they are today, or even when I was a kid in the 1950s. What does surprise me is the plethora of old racist songs on Youtube. Songs recorded by major recording labels. Songs like:

    Nigger in the Woodpile - Skillet Lickers
    Zip Coon - 2nd South Carolina String Band
    Nigger Love a Watermelon Ha! Ha! Ha! - Harry Browne
    If the Man in the Moon was a Coon - Ada Jones
    Nigger Loves His Possum - Collins and Harlan
    Run Nigger Run - Gid Tanner and His Skillet Lickers

    That's just a small sample.

    From Wikipedia:
    Coon songs were a genre of music that presented a stereotyped image of Blacks. They were popular in the United States and the United Kingdom from around 1880[1] to 1920,[2] though the earliest such songs date from minstrel shows as far back as 1848.[3]]

    Even though I should know better because of my personal experiences with racism, I still find it shocking when I come across things such as these old songs. I cannot imagine treating someone like that just because of skin color. Even more shocking to me is the participation of major businesses like the record labels. I saw Columbia and RCA Victor just to name a couple.

    Oh, thanks for that, Dave, I had never heard Sissel sing before. It was chillbump city for me. She is quite exquisite and I loved the arraignment with the pipes.

    YouTube offered some other selections from her and I chose one in which someone combined her "Shenandoah" with one by Tennessee Ernie Ford and his incredible baritone does her justice. Give it a try —

    Now, I'm on to her version of "Bridge Over Troubled Water."

    On edit: listening to Sissel's rendition of "O Holy Night" someone in comments wrote, "If I never make it to heaven, at least I heard an angel sing!"

    "Summertime" — pure soprano

    ...and I just came back to share this version from Tennessee Ernie Ford. That is the same as the one you posted without the combining.

    When I was a kid we were not supposed to have a TV but we did. My parents had a few favorite programs that we would all watch as a family---one of which was the Tennessee Ernie Ford show. Another was Fred Waring and his Pennsylvanians.
    Sunday evening after the milking was done and we had our dinner we got to watch TV.

    As I listened to more of her music I found this. How have I missed her? This is Sissel with Placido Domingo

    And I have to add this exquisite piece for her fantastic voice.

    Waylon tells the story about the death of Buddy Holly.

    And then, Tommy Allsup tells of the coin flip with Ritchie Valens.

    "After All" — written and performed by Ed Bruce

    Maybe you are more familiar with Ed Bruce as a sometimes actor, reality show host, or commercial presenter/voice, but his true talent is his wonderfully rich baritone singing voice. He is one of those great deep-toned country singers who are found virtually no where but in that genre.

    This song is for all you old geezers who can still remember what it was and are lucky enough to have found true love to help you through it.

    The many plaudits for Sissel and her voice in this thread are to be commended. She certainly deserves them. I would however point out another that is in my humble opinion if not the best, then in a tie for that position. A voice of such clarity and control. A voice that brings pictures to the mind and peace to the soul. Just for a moment listen to any of her songs and enjoy true beauty. Just for comparison you can start here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3Dbx_dgUyE
