The guy who hosts Redeye on Fox News made a good suggestion....let them build it, then open a huge gay bar right next door to make sure we are tolerant to the Muslims who go there who may be secretively gay, that way they won't feel left out. It's not an issue of respect, they respect the bombers not the Americans that died. But under the law they can build where ever they want as long as they are not white Christians.
I don't think it's fair that one can get drunk and and I can't get high.
I don't think it's fair that they get more "freedom of religion" then the Mormons, or any number of other religions.
I don't think it's fair that felons serve us in government and I had to go into construction to keep a job.
I don't think woman are always right in a divorce unless there's a 1/2 million dollar lawyer involved.

The Constitution says, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..." Congress has nothing to do with this present case at all, nor should the Presidency. If you buy that the 14th A. was legitimately ratified, as most do, and thus applies to the states and its subdivisions, the government as a whole is bound by its restraints under the "Due Process" clause. However, it says nothing about an individual such as myself respecting or otherwise honoring a religion I abhore and consider enimical to American principals. I am unbound and free to despise and oppose Islam, and I do with regard to the UpYours, Amnerica! Mosque and any which springs up across the street. Liberty is more than passive acceptance of any nonsense slung out there, and sure as hell does not demand I sit on my hands while drooling religeous fiends slither in and make plans to force Sharia on my progeny while slyly laughing at the empty hole in the ground their brothers caused yards away.
