They also threw The Poor under the bus choosing their pet labor union thugs' interests by ostensibly reducing future free food to The Poor and shuttling proceeds of the power play to teachers' unions. We now know who tops their special interest list at least until the squealing demands more borrowing from the next generation (which bottoms their list) to pay poor Peter back.


Largely, the redistribution burden will suck from Red States which have been better making the hard choices already, and blow benefits to the Blue States which refuse to make the hard choices.

It will be hard for them to explain to the other 8 million people out of work, why a teacher is any better than a normal hard working person who has been looking for a job for months and why they deserve preferential treatment. It could only be for the votes and most people know it. I said way back when, that BO is not going to be able to keep the promises he made to his own supporters, and they were going to come back and bite him real hard. Its one thing to upset your enemies....but even worse when you piss your friends off.
