    Yeah, the Republicans said the same thing before Pearl Harbor too. Reality that the world won't let us while away our time beatifically oblivious to others intent on our destruction has a way of changing when the full import of such innocence strikes home.

    As I looked at that I thought---I voted for him----once! The fact that we got screwed once might be blamed on him, the second screwing was on us

    Even in this election it was a matter of who we had to choose from as candidates. Want better candidates? Get involved in primaries and make a difference when it counts. if youre pissed off voting for milktoast beauracrats, get them out of the way early. Kerry would have been worse than Bush, but there had to have been someone better than Bush!

    it wasn't his fault, who could have predicted 9-11? (except the Clinton admin terrorism task force, but shhhh) he was forced into nation building
