For all you senior friends----you will be getting a 2.5% raise in your SS check---that is the "good news".
While, over in the taketh away side your Medicare premiums will rise by $27.30/month. Doing the math---that means the first $1092 in monthly SS payments is "raise free"
Saying that another way, to determine your net increase reduce your current monthly amount by $1092 and multiply that amount by 0.025. Don't spend it all in one place
As an aside----if inflation was so devastating last year why is the COL adjustment only 2.5%?
