Who here still has the truck that brought us together…

…so many years ago at the old Ford-Diesel site?

    I do…2000 F-250 6 speed. 260,000 miles.

Sold my OBS in 2006 and bought a 6.Doh... 312K on the 2006 but got rid of it about 6 years ago and have been driving gassers since then... 2016 f150 eco boost (kind of miss that truck but needed more to tow a new trailer). Current truck is a 2022 super poopy with the 6.2L boss... Was not comfy with going the 7.3L route yet and not willing to fork out the crazy cost of the current diesel option or the added expense of the higher fuel cost.

I hear ya on the outrageous costs of todays diesel trucks..50k and more used and 80k new! And for what?

My Truck us a pre 2007 and still pulls my 5-er just fine. I haven’t modded it and it’s paid for.

Although my knee keeps telling me to upgrade

Ever had seconds thought about selling your OBS?

It was a pretty truck and very capable but I sold it for newer tech and a better ride...

Still into Diesels, just smaller FCS ones (Jeep).

I do miss the size & capacity of my PSD Excursion. It never let me down, I simply wanted a change.

I'm thinking we'll look back on those vehicles as part of the "Good Old Days" before air quality concerns (EPA) changed course. We're seeing similar issues hit gassers - Bently is putting out their last V8s next year. Benz moved to small twin-blown 4.0 V8s instead of larger ones (there's one in my AMG).

Around here diesel has been priced right at, or sometimes even lower, than unleaded...Diesel is currently $3.24 here...Some stations are asking as much as $3.69, but they're not selling much...I'll buy the cheaper which is also constantly replaced and therefore fresher......Ben

Diesel's running $4.49 per gallon here. I get around it by belonging to Harmon's Grocery, which gives us regular customers 75 cents off per gallon.

Course, now that I'm retired, I only run through a tank every two months.
